There's no question speed kills in today's NHL. And one of the league's fastest teams put on a clinic Thursday night as the Montreal Canadiens blew past the sluggish Winnipeg Jets 5-2 at Bell Centre.
Jonathan Drouin led the way with two goals and two assists for the Canadiens, now 8-1-1 in the last 10 games. The Jets lost in regulation for the first time in six games.
The final score actually could have been much worse if not for Connor Hellebuyck. The Jets goalie made a couple week's worth of five-star saves, including robbing Drouin of what looked like the hat-trick goal.
