The native of Nynäshamn, Sweden was part of the initial wave of Europeans to come to North America when he joined fellow forward Anders Hedberg, defenseman Lars-Erik Sjoberg and goaltender Curt Larsson in signing with the Winnipeg Jets of the World Hockey Association (WHA) for the 1974-75 season.
