Dennis Wideman of Calgary Flames suffers upper-body injury

Calgary Flames defenseman Dennis Wideman, playing just his third game since returning from suspension, suffered an upper-body injury during Wednesday's game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Wideman went down heavily in the first period after colliding with teammate Joe Colborne behind the Jets' net, seconds before Michael Frolik's goal in the Flames' 4-1 victory.

Calgary coach Bob Hartley said the team will know more about Wideman's status in the next day or two, but based on preliminary indications from the medical staff, "It doesn't look very good.
