Multiple media outlets in Boston are reporting the Boston Bruins are preparing an offer sheet for Winnipeg Jets defenceman Jacob Trouba, who is set to become a restricted free agent on Friday.
Veteran Bruins beat reporter Joe Haggerty, citing a source, has a story up on CSN New England’s website stating that the Bruins are preparing an offer for Trouba that would be worth at least $47 million and possibly more. The term of the deal the Bruins are offering was unspecified but Haggerty speculated it would be for seven years.
The Jets would have the right to match Boston’s offer and retain Trouba.
