The Winnipeg Jets were looking for a quick bounce-back effort – and they can thank the always reliable Laurent Brossoit for being up to the task once again.
Brossoit stopped 33 of 35 shots as his Jets hung on to beat the lowly Detroit Red Wings 4-2 at Bell MTS Place Friday night. Brossoit is now 9-0-1 in his 10 starts this season, continuing his run of stellar play behind No. 1 goalie Connor Hellebuyck despite seeing limited action.
Winnipeg improves to 28-14-2 and moves back into a tie with Nashville for top spot in the Central division.
