NEWARK, N.J. -- Mason Appleton will make his NHL debut for the Winnipeg Jets here tonight.
The 22-year-old from Green Bay, Wisc., will skate on a fourth line with Jack Roslovic and Mathieu Perreault for the visitors, who battle the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center. Game time is 6 p.m. CT.
Jets head coach Paul Maurice confirmed Laurent Brossoit will tend the crease tonight.
Appleton, named the American Hockey League's rookie of the year following the 2017-18 season, leads the Manitoba Moose in scoring this season with eight goals and 10 assists. He was called up to the NHL squad last Monday.
