WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State men's basketball moved one step closer to finalizing its roster for the 2023-24 season with the addition of Yanis Bamba.
Bamba is a 6-foot-6 combo guard from Laval, Quebec, Canada and Jean de Brebeuf High School. He broke onto the American AAU circuit last summer with Brookwood Elite.
"I'm excited to welcome Yanis to our team," said Wichita State head coach Paul Mills. "He's a competitor who possesses a high skill set with size and athleticism. Yanis can shoot the ball, handle, pass and is a versatile defender. He played a number of possessions at point guard this past season and is widely considered one of the top players in Canada.
