Wichita State baseball struck for a season-high three runs in the first inning and cruised by Tulane 8-2 on Sunday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
The win enabled WSU (22-7, 3-3) to improve to .500 in American Conference play after taking 2 of 3 from Tulane (13-20, 4-5). WSU won Saturday’s game 9-3 after being routed 19-4 on Friday.
In the first, Trey Vickers drove in Greyson Jenista with a single, and Mason O’Brien doubled in Alec Bohm and Vickers.
Bohn hit the first pitch in the bottom of the third for his eighth home run of the season to make it 4-0.
