WSU Falls to UTEP to End Texas Tech Invite

LUBBOCK, Texas - After splitting the first two days of the tournament, the Wichita State softball team fell to UTEP on the final day by a score of 6-1, to finish the weekend with a record of 2-3.

Katie Malone started the game in the circle, throwing five innings and allowing five runs, only three of which were earned. Jenni Brooks then entered the game and threw two innings and allowed one run n three hits. Malone received the loss, pushing her record to 9-4 on the season.

The Shockers collected just four hits in the game, with hits coming from, Paige Luellen, Madison Perrigan, McKenzie Adams and Ashley Johnson.
