Wichita, Kan. -- Wichita State erased a two-set deficit to win their 17th consecutive home match against Tulsa, reverse sweeping the Golden Hurricane 20-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-12 on Wednesday night at Charles Koch Arena.
Things looked bleak for the Shockers (9-8, 4-2) after the opening two frames, as Tulsa (9-9, 2-4) hit .333 and .347 respectively to grab a 2-0 lead. Star outside hitter Kayley Cassaday did most of the damage, piling up 13 total kills in the first two sets, including a pair late in the second stanza to blunt a late WSU rally when the Shockers pulled within 22-20.
