Women’s Golf Signs Top Kansas Golfer

WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State women's golf head coach Tom McCurdy announced the 2020 recruiting class with the signing of Wichita native and two-time First Team Kansas All-State selection, Madison Slayton. She will be joining the Shockers next fall after an illustrious junior career.

Madison Slayton – Wichita, Kan.
Attended both Trinity Academy and Andover High School… two-time First Team Kansas All-State selection and member of the National Honor Society… never placed outside of the top five at any high school golf tournament… she medaled in the 4A Kansas State Championship while helping lead Trinity Academy to a team championship her freshman year… finished as the third place individual at the 4A Kansas State Championship her sophomore and junior year and second place at the 5A Kansas State Championship her senior year… placed first at the 2019 Texas Junior Golf Tour Tyler Rose Elite Champion… a two-time qualifier and participant of the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships… finished third at the 2016 Texas Oklahoma Junior Golf Championships… participant at the 2018 and 2019 North & South Junior Championship at Pinehurst Golf Resort… a 2018 USGA-AJGA Presidents' Leadership Award finalist.
