Women’s basketball spoils Western Kentucky’s undefeated start with win in the Roundhouse

Sophomore guard Salese Blow drives into the paint against Western Kentucky. Blow led the Shockers with 13 points in the Dec. 8 win.

Following a loss to the University of Kansas earlier this week while going into the fourth quarter with the lead, Wichita State women’s basketball bounced back to knock off the previously undefeated Western Kentucky University on Saturday afternoon.

The Shockers led once again going into the final period, but were able to spoil the Hilltoppers’ undefeated start, 64-59, in Charles Koch Arena.

The Shockers finished the game shooting 40% from the floor and held Western Kentucky to a low 28%, the Hilltoppers’ lowest shooting mark of the season.
