HOUSTON -- Wichita State's women Heptathletes all set personal records for points and claimed five of the top six spots, led by champion Gavyn Yetter, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Rice Shirley Crowe Multis at Ley Stadium.
Yetter won the Heptathlon with a career-best 5,447 points while winning five of the seven events. She won the 100 meter hurdles (14.39), the shot put (41-5.25), 200 meters (25.28), the long jump (18-2.25) and the final event, the 800 meters (2:16.41). She was third in the high jump (5-3.25), and second (124-5) in the javelin to teammate Carlea Holt.
