WICHITA—Winny Koskei has dominated the American Athletic Conference cross country scene for the past three years.
In what has become routine for the cross country All-American, Koskei was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year for the third consecutive year, the conference announced Friday.
She becomes the first person in conference history to win the Runner of the Year award three times.
Cross Country Head Coach Kirk Hunter said it was terrific news to hear.
"I'm very proud of Winny Koskei and all of her accomplishments here at Wichita State," Hunter said.
