WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's tennis team is off to its best start since 1995 after taking down Purdue 6-1 on Sunday.
"All three doubles teams and all six singles guys competed really hard," head coach said. "I know we can play a lot better than that, but for the first weekend, we did pretty well."
The Shockers went 2-1 in doubles to capture the doubles point. won by retirement at No. 4 singles and claimed victory at No. 3 in straight sets. At court two, picked up his third win of the weekend to clinch the match for Wichita State, defeating his opponent 6-1 in set one and winning the tiebreak set in set two.
