WICHITA, Kan. – Sydney Wilson leads the Herm Wilson Invitational women's heptathlon after day one with 3,069 points, Thursday afternoon at Cessna Stadium.
Redshirt sophomore Sydney Wilson recorded three third place finishes and won the high jump to finish day one leading the Herm Wilson Invitational heptathlon with 3,069 points. The Sterling, Kan., native started the day finishing third in the 100m hurdles (14.92), followed by winning the high jump with a clearance of 1.66m/5-5.25. Wilson carried her momentum into the shot put equaling her personal best (11.42m/37-5.75) and ended the day running a personal best 200m (26.
