WICHITA, Kan. -- Kansas State erased an early 4-0 deficit with a six-run top of the sixth inning and held on for an 8-6 win over Wichita State on Tuesday night at Eck Stadium.
The Shockers (13-7) jumped in front with two runs in the first on a RBI double and a wild pitch, then added two more in the third when doubled home a pair of runs to make it 4-0.
Wichita State starter weaved in and out of trouble through five innings, allowing just one run in the fourth on a Nick English two-out RBI single.
