WACO, Texas – Wichita State track and field wrapped up its weekend at the Michael Johnson Invitational with 10 top-10 finishes before weather conditions cut the meet short Friday and Saturday at Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium.
Brady Palen's second-place performance in the high jump highlighted the meet for the Shockers. The senior from Beloit, Kan. cleared 2.11m/6'11" just before the lightning canceled the remainder of the meet. Marissa Jensen placed fourth in the women's competition with a clearance of 1.63m/.25".
Five Shockers made field event finals, starting with Adria Navajon in the long jump on Friday.
