Wichita State women’s golf team drops to 15th in NCAA regional entering final round

Wichita State’s women’s golf team slipped one spot to 15th in the NCAA regional Friday in Baton Rouge, La.

The Shockers shot a second-round 308 to card a 44-over-par 620, one shot behind Denver. WSU’s Taryn Torgerson and Bryce Schroeder are part of an eight-way tie for 55th place with a 10-over-par 154.

Kansas State’s Madison Talley is part of a five-way tie for 11th with a 145. South Carolina’s Katelyn Dambaugh leads the field with an 8-under 136. South Carolina leads the 18-team field with a 567, eight shots ahead of Washington.

Kansas’ Yupaporn Kawinpakorn is part of five-way tie for 25th after shooting a 6-over 153 in the regional in Shoal Creek, Ala.
