After the university signed a separation agreement with Darron Boatright over a year ago, the former athletic director’s separation pay will end Friday, June 9.
Since May 2022, Boatright has received biweekly payments amounting to over $11,500, making up his $300,000 settlement pay agreement.
Boatright’s termination last year followed complaints that surrounded his leadership during the abuse allegations against former head coach Greg Marshall in 2020.
In addition, at the time, fans raised complaints about the lack of a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) collective. Wichita State Athletics began partnering with Opendorse for a NIL collective last fall, following Kevin Saal’s employment as director.
