Wichita State swept the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field titles for the second time on Sunday.
WSU’s men won their first title since 2010 with 206 points, most by an MVC since the 2010 teams scored 224. Southern Illinois finished second with 132 points. The 74-point margin is the MVC’s largest since WSU’s 96.5-point margin in 2003.
WSU’s women won their third straight title and fifth in the past six seasons with 155.50 points, finishing ahead of Northern Iowa with 133 points.
The Shockers also swept the outdoors titles in 2004.
