KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Wichita State women's tennis team rallied from behind to win the doubles point and rode that momentum to a 6-1 dual victory over Kansas City on Sunday afternoon at the Plaza Tennis Center.
WSU (8-12) has been playing five-on-six tennis for the past month due to injuries, but will take some momentum into next week's conference tournament with back-to-back wins to finish out the regular season.
Kansas City (3-13) dropped its seventh-straight dual match.
The shorthanded Shockers conceded at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles but swept all seven remaining matches (two doubles and five singles).
