Brent Kemnitz will be inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023 next fall. The announcement came on Monday, June 12.
The former Wichita State baseball pitching coach has served in his role for nearly four decades. In 1982, his team established a NCAA record with 46 complete games in one season.
His teams have made seven College World Series appearances and won the 1989 National Championship.
Kemnitz was named one of the top three pitching coaches in the country in a poll done by College Baseball Insider in 2011.
In his 38 years, Kemnitz coached 17 professional players, 21 All-Americans and 20 freshman All-Americans.
