When VCU and Wichita State met three times in less than two years, the two teams produced three thrillers — games all decided in the final minute on the final possession.
It was announced Wednesday the rivalry will continue this season with the two sides agreeing to a home-and-home series. The Shockers will travel to Richmond, Va. this season for a Saturday, Dec. 22 matchup, while VCU will make the return visit to Koch Arena in 2019 for a Dec. 21 showdown.
It will end a six-year hiatus since the two programs met during their ascension in the college basketball world.
