Wichita State’s 10-game baseball homestand reaches the halfway point this week with no indication things are getting better or easier.
The Shockers (7-16) are 1-3 on the homestand with two games against Stephen F. Austin (12-13) scheduled for Tuesday (6:30 p.m.) and Wednesday (1 p.m.) at Eck Stadium.
On Friday, No. 8 TCU (18-5) visits to start a three-game series.
Give the Shockers points for playing a challenging schedule, but it’s not helping their record. The homestand started with a 17-0 loss to then-No. 19 Oklahoma State. After defeating Cal Poly 6-0 on Friday, the Shockers dropped the final two games of the series 7-2 and 7-6.
