MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Wichita State raced out to 9-0 lead and cruised to a 10-6 win over Memphis on Sunday afternoon at FedExPark.
The Shockers (15-29) did most of their damage with two outs, exploding for five runs in the third inning on the strength of five consecutive two-out hits. With runners at first and second, chopped a single back through the middle to score with the game's first run. followed by slicing a double to the gap in left-center, plating for a 2-0 lead. scored both Rodden and Thornhill with a solid single into left, doubling the lead to 4-0.
