WICHITA—The Wichita State track and field teams concluded the opening weekend of the outdoor season with the second day of competition at the Shocker Spring Invitational inside of Cessna Stadium on Saturday.
Director of Track and Field Steve Rainbolt said the meet served as a good jumping off point for the outdoor season.
"I really liked this meet for our team as a season opener," Rainbolt said. "It's a great way to kick things off. Our athletes are walking out of this meet not beat up. When you go to a big meet like the Texas Relays, it's hard travel, a 10-hour drive.
