Wichita State will continue its battles against the Big 12 in nonconference play.
The Shockers announced on Monday they have finalized a four-year men’s basketball series with Oklahoma State, as the two sides will alternate hosting starting next season with WSU playing the Cowboys on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
While it’s not a true home-and-home because OSU will play at Intrust Bank Arena in 2020, it’s close. WSU has the option to play its 2022 home game at either Koch Arena or Intrust Bank Arena.
This season will prove to be a brief hiatus to the rivalry, as the two sides have played each other the last two seasons with OSU having won at Intrust Bank Arena in 2016 and the Shockers returning the favor with a victory last December in Stillwater, their first at Gallagher-Iba Arena since 1957.
