WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State University received two Academic Progress Rate Public Recognition Awards for the 2014-15 academic year – Women's Golf and Women's Volleyball, it was released by the NCAA today.
The Volleyball team has received seven consecutive APR Public Recognition awards - 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15. The Women's Golf team has received three consecutive APR Public Recognition awards – 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Each year, the NCAA honors selected Division I sports teams by publicly recognizing their latest multi-year NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR). This announcement is part of the overall Division I academic reform effort and is intended to highlight teams that demonstrate a commitment to academic progress and retention of student-athletes by achieving the top APRs within their respective sports.
