AUSTIN, Texas – Four-Time All-American Hunter Veith leads the decathlon after day one at the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.
The Cheney, Kan., native set two personal best and equaled a personal best en route to a first day leading score of 4,398, 112 points ahead of second place multi-athlete Scott Filip of Rice University.
Veith began the day finishing second in the 100m with a time of 10.72 scoring 924 points. The senior won the second event of the day equaling his personal best mark of 7.78m/25-6.25 scoring 1,005 points and taking an overall lead with 1,929 points.
