WICHITA, Kan. – The VCU Rams swept the Wichita State volleyball team, 3-0, in the Shocker Volleyball Classic Presented by Ashley HomeStore Friday, Sept. 13, at Charles Koch Arena, winning by set scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-18.
Wichita State (3-5) is scheduled to conclude play in the classic with a 7 p.m. match Saturday, Sept. 14, against third-ranked Texas (4-1). The Longhorns downed No. 13 BYU, 3-1, in the earlier match Friday afternoon.
Freshman hit .357 with seven kills on 14 attempts and two errors, pacing the Shockers.
