IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Wichita State men's and women's cross country teams travel to Iowa City, Iowa to compete at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet on Friday at the Ashton Cross Country Course.
The Shockers enter the regional meet ranked fifth in the Midwest Region and will need a top-two team finish to automatically move on to nationals. In addition to the top two teams from each of the nine regional meets, 13 additional teams and 38 individual runners will earn at-large bids to advance to the championship meet. "The guys, of course, want to place higher than our fifth-place ranking," head coach Kirk Hunter said.
