Temple Downs Wichita State for Season Sweep

PHILADELPHIA – Temple knocked down 10 three-pointers and used a game-sealing 9-0 run at the end of the third quarter to defeat Wichita State, 68-52, at McGonigle Hall Saturday afternoon.

Wichita State (11-17, 4-11) lost its fourth straight game and finished the season 0-2 against the Owls. The Shockers missed 12 of their 13 three-point attempts and shot 37 percent for the game.

Temple (10-18, 6-9) poured in 10 triples in 27 tries, while hitting 39.4 percent from the field.

tallied all 12 of her team-high points in the fourth period to set a new career high.
