RIO de JANEIRO - Wichita State men's volunteer Director of Operations Nick Taylor and his partner David Wagner have won the silver medal in wheelchair quad doubles tennis. Taylor and Wagner had previously won the last three gold medals in the event.
Australia's Dylan Alcott and Heath Davidson defeated Taylor and Wagner 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 in a match that took nearly three hours to complete. Alcott-Davidson had four aces to Taylor and Wagner's zero, and hit 46 total winners to the Americans' 29. Both duos had 16 forced errors.
Taylor and Wagner's list of accomplishments now include: three Paralympic gold medals, one silver Paralympic medal, three Austrailian Open wins and three U.
