ERIE, Colo. – A season-best 12th place individual finish from Dawson Lewis highlighted Wichita State's appearance at the Mark Simpson Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
After brutal conditions sent scores skyrocketing last week in Fort Collins, numbers returned to normalcy as 12 of the 17 teams in the field broke par at Colorado National Golf Club. The Shockers finished alone in 11th place with a team total of (281-279-290—850, -14), three shots back of Denver and seven clear of UTEP.
Lewis delivered a consistent performance over the course of the two days, notching the lowest Shocker score during each of the three rounds (67-69-71—207, -9).
