NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma erased a 5-2 deficit on the strength of a seven-run sixth inning, defeating Wichita State 9-5 on Tuesday night at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The deciding inning featured just four Oklahoma singles, but also four walks, two wild pitches, four stolen bases and two errors. Diego Muniz had a two-run single that cut the Wichita State lead to 5-4, Jimmy Crooks tied the game with an RBI single, and Cade Horton plated the go-ahead run with an RBI groundout. A wild pitch, double steal, and infield single added three more runs in the inning, giving Oklahoma (22-13) a 9-5 advantage.
