Momentum had swung in Wichita State’s direction and the Shocker fans at Madison Square Garden were on their feet, shouting and clapping, celebrating what they thought would be a sure-fire victory.
Samajae Haynes-Jones had just stolen a pass and was so amped up to give the Shockers an 11-point lead, the largest of Tuesday’s game against Lipscomb, that the senior finished the fast break with his first dunk of the season.
