WICHITA, Kan. - Incoming freshman Madison Slayton competed at the KJGA Invitational in Emporia, Kan., on June 3 and won the event by shooting 1-under par 71.
"I played in a pretty competitive group which made today fun and kept me on my toes. I'm feeling pretty good about my game at the moment," Slayton said.
A total of four Shockers participated in some of the first junior golf tournaments put on in Kansas due to COVID-19. Kenni Henson, Megan Lucas, and Sarah Lawson all competed at the KC Match Play Championship from June 2-4 at the Swope Memorial Golf Course.
