WICHITA, Kan. -- Behind four runs in third and fifth innings, the Wichita State baseball team snapped a four-game skid with an 8-2 win over Oral Roberts on Tuesday afternoon at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field.
Freshman Brady Slavens came up with three hits in three at-bats, marking a career-high. Slavens also set a new career-high for RBIs, driving in three of Wichita State's eight runs.
The Shockers (6-9) had three different players tally two or more hits, with seven different batters making up Wichita State's 11 hits. Tuesday marked the fifth straight game where the Shockers reached the double-digit mark for hits.
