LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Wichita State track and field team recorded 15 top-three finishes on a windy Saturday at the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence, Kansas.
Faith Turner led the way for the Shockers with a blazing fast 100-meter time of 11:63 to win the event and jump up to sixth all-time in Wichita State history.
"We've known that Faith was capable of running a really good 100-meter dash for a long time, but we haven't had great conditions for a time like today to happen," sprints/hurdles coach John Wise said, "and even though she ran really well, we think she's got a lot more left in the tank and are excited for what she can do in a couple weeks in the conference championship.
