With the win, Wichita State (11-11, 2-0 American) clinched the series against the Tigers (10-11, 0-2 American), and won its fourth straight game.
O'Brien led the Shockers at the plate, going 3-for-5 with his team-high seventh double of the season, going along with an RBI, while Boyer smacked his second home run of the season and drove in a pair of runs.
