WICHITA, Kan. – worked a bases-loaded walk with two outs in the bottom of the ninth-inning to give the Wichita State baseball team an 8-7 victory over the Rhode Island Rams in the opening game of a four-game series Friday, March 15, at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field.
The Shockers (7-9) and Rams (2-9) are scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday, March 16, starting at 1 p.m.
After Rhode Island plated three runs in the top of the ninth to gain a 7-5 lead, sophomore tied the game with a two-run home run to left field with one out in the bottom of the ninth.
