COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Wichita State women's golf team will compete in the Johnie Imes Invitational beginning on Monday.
The Shockers will reunite with former Missouri Valley Conference opponents Bradley, Illinois State, and Missouri State. Other teams in the field include host school Missouri, Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas State, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, Fresno State, Mercer, UMKC, and Northern Illinois.
Mizzou is looking for its fifth consecutive Johnie Imes Invitational title, winning last year's event by six strokes. This will be Wichita State's ninth appearance in Mizzou's host tournament, with former Shocker golfer Bryce Schroeder ranking fourth in tournament history for the lowest final round score with a 67 in 2015.
