WICHITA, Kan. - A strong pitching performance helped give the Shocker softball team their second win of the fall, 6-0 over Newman University.
Katie Malone got her first start of the year, throwing five innings and allowing just two hits. Freshman Bailey Klitzke threw the last two innings, only allowing one base runner on a walk.
McKenzie Adams led the offense with two hits, along with two RBI, in three at-bats. Ashley Johnson, Macklin Hitz, Laurie Derrico, Bethany Canada, Kennedy Long, and Brigitta Doherty all collected one hit a piece.
