BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Wichita State dropped their seventh consecutive game on Saturday afternoon, falling 7-4 to Florida Atlantic as the Owls completed the three-game sweep at FAU Baseball Stadium.
The Shockers (12-27, 4-11) managed just one hit through the first five innings against FAU starter James Litman (3-1) and squandered several late scoring opportunities as the Owls (27-12, 9-6) built upon their lead. FAU broke a scoreless deadlock in the bottom of the third inning with a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly, then pushed the lead to 3-0 when John Martinez blooped an RBI double.
