Shockers Stifled at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska scored nine runs over their final four innings to cruise past Wichita State 10-1 on Tuesday night at Haymarket Park.

The Shockers (6-10) trailed just 1-0 into the bottom of the fifth, but the Huskers (6-8) scored three times in the fifth, once in the seventh and five times in the eighth to blow the game open. Wichita State was held to just four hits by a combination of five Nebraska pitchers and struck out 14 times.

WSU starter (1-2) kept the Shockers within striking distance, allowing just one run through the first four innings.
