PALM HARBOR, Fla.- The Wichita State women's golf team is set to play in its second American Athletic Conference Championship starting on Sunday.
The Shockers face the challenge of going up against eight top 100 ranked teams, including the reigning champion Houston (34). Taryn Torgerson made Wichita State history by winning the individual title in a playoff hole after a program record 64 in the third round. Torgerson's 211 54-hole score is tied for the lowest three-round score in program history.
Senior Laine Evans is coming off conference Player of the Week honors after coming up with a career high finish (tied for fourth) at the KC Intercollegiate this past week.
