TULSA, Okla. – The Wichita State men's tennis team fell in the opening round of the American Athletic Conference Championship to the 5th seeded Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 4-1 on Thursday afternoon at Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
With the loss, the Shockers season ends with a record of 5-18, and Tulsa (15-12) moves on to play 4-seed Rice tomorrow in Tulsa.
In doubles, Richey King and Misha Kvantaliani fell 6-2 at court one, but courts two and three remained tight. At court three, Alejandro Jacome and Luke Bracks rallied from down 4-1 to tie their match 6-6 and force a tiebreak.
