SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Shockers scored five runs in the seventh inning to defeat Missouri State, 6-1 on Tuesday night.
Jenni Brooks got the start and threw her sixth complete game of the year and allowed just one run on six hits to receive her fourth win of the year.
Missouri State led off the second inning with a double to right field. After a sacrifice bunt moved the runner to third, the Bears tried a suicide squeeze, but Mackenzie Wright made a great play to get the out at home.
