CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Wichita State women's tennis team defeated the shorthanded and 47th ranked Denver Pioneers 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at Charlotte's Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
The Shockers (10-4) collected their fifth consecutive victory and Denver (11-6) drops their second straight match after losing to Charlotte on Friday afternoon.
Head Coach was glad to bring the win home.
"Obviously, you never want an opponent to be shorthanded, but you can't control that," said Foster. "The situation of them being down a player added a bit of pressure on our shoulders, which was a good thing to experience.
